KM2-002 Multifunctional 3-channel Calibrator with accuracy class 0,02 (0,01)

     The device provides measurement and simultaneous electric signals generation in 3 galvanically isolated independent channels thus substituting 3… 8 standard instruments of 0,02 (0,01) accuracy rating. The device has a database of calibrated instruments, convenient interface can provide printouts and of measurement documentation and the recorded results can be uploaded to a PC.

     Each channel of the device can operate in the mode1 (“Measurement”) and mode2 (“Generation”). Besides, twin channel operating mode (“Comparator”) is available. Mode1 performs measurement whereas mode2 performs generation/imitation of the signals and values as follows:

for channels 1 and 2 - direct current, dc voltage resistance (resistance imitation is available in channel 2 only);

for channels 1 and 2 - external pressure and pressure drop transducer connection through the built-in power supply;

for channel 3 - frequency and pulse count;

for channel 2 - signals from 14 types of thermoelectric transducers and temperature calculation according to SSU 2837-94 with the cold shut temperature compensation (3 types of compensation);

for channel 1 - signals from 15 types of the resistance temperature transducers.

     In the comparator mode the calibrator performs subtraction or summation of the preliminary average values of voltage, current, resistance or temperature from both channels 1 and 2. For example, the calibration signal is supplied to the first channel input and the checked-up SIT output signals are supplied to the second one. Subtracting the signals calibrator measures mismatch between the checked-up SIT) and the calibration signal and evaluates the absolute error.

     The automatic mode of the SIT check-up is available. According to the program, a signal is applied to the device being checked and the device response is recorded through on the second channel. The check-up (calibration) program can be previously entered into the memory and the measurement results are saved in the nonvolatile memory. Afterwards the results can be printed in the form of a report (by means of PC).

     The device has a metal enclosure, is small (dimensions 240 x 170 x 90 mm) and light (weight 2,3 kg). The device conforms to standard IP56 (dustand water-proof construction) as per GOST 14254-96. The device is powered by a dc accumulator (up to 8 hours non-stop operating) and ac supply.

     Actually being a metrological lab KM2-002 calibrator can be applied as a base check-up device for most SIT of the facility. Due to the operation modes automation the SIT check-up (calibration) is considerably easier, accounting is much simpler, it takes less time for personnel to perform operation.
