The rig is designed for automated testing, gaging and calibration of gas flowmeters having pulse output signal by the method of comparison with reference flowmeters. In the capacity of operating environment air is used.  

The rig can be used in manufacturing plants for primary testing (calibration) of gas flowmeters with relative inaccuracy of volume measurements ±1,0% and more when just produced or repaired. It can also be used in national service enterprises of legal metrology for periodic testing of gas flowmeters being operated.
